There are two classifications of Green Housekeeping:
- Certified Green Housekeeper
- Recognized Green Housekeeper
Certified Green Housekeeper
Contractor:
A Certified Green Housekeeper Contractor is a company that has chosen to commit fully to the Green Housekeeping Program. As a certified contractor, they have attained the highest level of classification and though they may choose to use Recognized Green Housekeepers at the front end of their business, at least one person in the supervisory role has written a lengthy and in-depth test, to show they fully understand the Green Housekeeping Program.
Site:
A Certified Green Housekeeping Site has employed a comprehensive building management program that is meant to provide improve health and safety, reduce liability issues, increase productivity and improve indoor air quality in every building that adopts it’s tenets. Cleaning practices and building management are refocused so that the cleaning contractor cleans primarily for health and environmental benefit. Through the use of the Franken LeDrew audit, the building is sustained at it’s highest level of cleanliness that can be monitored for consistency.
Green Housekeeping is classified by four levels of certification:
- Platinum – a platinum level is acquired by attaining a 92% score on a Franken LeDrew audit.
- Gold – a gold level is acquired by attaining an 85% score on a Franken LeDrew audit.
- Silver – a silver level is acquired by attaining a 78% score on a Franken LeDrew audit.
- Bronze – a bronze level is acquired by attaining a 70% on a Franken LeDrew audit.
Recognized Green Housekeeper Contractors:
These are contract cleaners who recognize the benefits the Green Housekeeping Program brings to the environment, as well as, their clients. They are aiming to improving their current cleaning standards and are committed to using approved Green Housekeeping products and methods. After completing some basic training and completing the required open book test, the contractor can attain Recognized Green Housekeeper status.
Recognized Green housekeeping Site:
Building owners/managers who are not ready to commit fully to the Green Housekeeping Program, but want to provide a healthy workplace environment, as well as, show some concern for the natural environment, are requesting their buildings become Recognized Green Housekeeping Sites. They understand that though there is no auditing done with this program, it still has a measurable impact and they are committed to using only Recognized Green Housekeeper contractors.
