What is Certified Green Housekeeping?
- Certified Green Housekeeping is the process of cleaning for a healthier workplace. Only the most environmentally friendly products and techniques are used in order to improve the indoor air quality and the over all health of your workplace environment.
How did I become involved in this program?
- Your Building Service Contractor ( BSC ) believes in the benefits of this program and has taken the necessary training to bring these benefits to your location.
Is there a cost for my site to be certified in this program?
- Yes, your BSC will pay a yearly fee of $40.00 on your behalf.
How does the Certified Green Housekeeping work?
- Certified Green Housekeeping is designed to give the site owner/manager the opportunity to maintain the highest level of cleaning within their location. Audits/Inspections may be done at their convenience and submitted to Franken LeDrew Consulting ( FLC ) and your current BSC. In the event that your location does not meet the standards and fails an audit, the BSC must be given a minimum of 30 days to address the areas of concern, before another subsequent audit can be performed. If another failing grade is assessed, it will be recommended by FLC that you dispense with your current BSC and employ a new certified BSC.
What audit forms do I use and what do I do with them after an audit has been performed?
- You must use a photocopy of the audit form provided in your start-up package, sent to you by Franken LeDrew Consulting. This audit form will be customized to maintain the standards set forth in your customized program. A copy of each performed audit must be submitted to the BSC and FLC.
Where do I find a new certified BSC?
- Call your nearest Certified Green Housekeeping Professional ( CGHP ) from an up to date list of CGHPs posted on our website and they will recommend another certified BSC to you.
Why do I have to pay for my certification and the site certification?
- There are many costs associated with each applicant applying for certification. Among them are: administration costs, certificate costs, postage
costs, cost of reviewing inspections and the cost of maintaining a data base of all certified BSC's.
Are the fees a one time cost?
- No, both the BSC certificate and the site certificate expire on the anniversary
of their implementation date and are subject to a renewal fee.
Can I lose my certified status?
- Yes, as with any reputable program, there are standards which must be
kept. Audits/Inspections will be performed and a failing grade can be assessed. Therefore,
Franken LeDrew Consulting reserves the right to revoke any BSC's certified status if they
repeatedly fail to meet the standards of this program.
Who does the inspections and how often?
- An initial audit will be performed by your local Certified Green
Housekeeping Professional ( CGHP ) as part of the training process.
The results of the initial audit will be kept between the CGHP and yourself
and is used only as a measurement tool, assessing if more training is required.
The location owner/manager will do audits any time thereafter and may do
audits as often as they feel necessary. A copy of their audits will be
submitted to yourself and Franken LeDrew Consulting.
What happens if I fail an audit?
- It is recommended that you review your failed audit with your CGHP and
correct any areas of concern. The location owner/manager may do a subsequent
audit, no earlier than 30 days after the current failed audit. Upon failure of the subsequent audit, the location owner/manager will receive from Franken LeDrew Consulting, a letter recommending the replacement of your
company.
How do I lose my certified status?
- If, within a period of 1 year, your services are replaced by another contractor in 2
locations because you failed to meet the Green Housekeeping standards, Franken LeDrew Consulting will revoke your certified status and you will be suspended from the Green Housekeeping Program for a period of 1 year. You may then apply for certification as a new applicant and must follow those procedures accordingly.
Why should I certify all the sites I am currently cleaning?
- With some locations, it has been previously negotiated and it is mandatory. Others are volunteered by progressive cleaning contractors who see the marketing advantage this program represents. They also see the value their clients will perceive in this program and the opportunity the contractor now has to solidify these accounts.
When and how do I certify my accounts?
- You can certify your accounts when you are applying for certification yourself or at any time thereafter. You can visit our web site at
www.frankenledrew.com to download a site certification form for each intended site. There is a certification fee of $40.00 per site.
How can I get in touch with Franken LeDrew Consulting?
- You can get in touch with a representative of Franken LeDrew Consulting at our
web site.
